I Bet You Think This Blog Is About You
We were reading a chapter of Heidi, and all 4 kids were piled onto my bed with me. They were lovely: relaxed, sitting or lying quietly and listening intently. I paused between sentences, glancing down to admire them. I caught Allison's eye, and smiled at her.
It just so happened that the last sentence I read before my smile was something about Clara in the mountains, looking healthier and more beautiful than she ever had in her life.
Then I resumed reading.
Allison instantly interrupted. "Mommy, did you just smile at me because I look more beautiful than I ever have in my life, too?"
