I am reading a trashy chick lit book called "Certain Girls." Allison saw it on my table.

A: Mommy, what's that book about?
Me: A teenager and her mom.
A: Yeah?
Me: And the mom wrote a book. It was a grown-up book so the daughter couldn't read it.
A: Did the mom teach her how to read?
Me: No, she knew how to read.
A: So did she read her mom's book?
Me: Yes, she did.
A: Oh. Did she sneak-read it?
Me: Yep.
A: Oooh! Did she get in trouble?
Me: No. Her mom doesn't know she read it yet.
A: Oh, I hope her mom doesn't find out.
Me: I hope she does! I'm on the mom's side.
A: Yeah. I'm on the teenager's side.
