Flashback - Charlie Baseball Championship

I'm months behind on blogging so will try to catch up with some major events from the Mackey family from the past few months.

Charlie's Little League team, the Bulldogs, went 13-0 on the season and won the league championship. His team was mentioned, and he was listed by name, in both the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Tucker Times. Way to go Charlie!

He had a great time on this team. One of the highlights (aside from an undefeated season) was a team outing to see the "real" Georgia Bulldogs play a college baseball game, which they won 11-2.

Charlie's team won both the League Championship (for the season) and the Tournament Championship (post-season play). The final game was really exciting. Charlie's team was down 6-3 going into their final at-bats. Charlie drove in the 4th run and then scored the 6th run to tie the game. His teammate Tony hit an over-the-fence walk-off homerun to end the tournament with a victory.

We have the video - when you visit, ask us to see it if you want to experience the thrill of the action (including experiencing his mom screaming and jumping up and down, but we think that adds to the sense of "being there")!
