Just Right

Allison walked through the kitchen, where I was sitting with Granny.

Allison: You married the right daddy!
Me: I sure did!

Allison: And Daddy married the right mommy!
Me: Thank you, Allison!

Too Old

At Granny and Grandpa's ...

Sarah: Oh, I forgot my blanket.
Me: I bet I can find you another one.
Sarah: OK.
Me: It won't have a princess on it, though. Is that OK?
Sarah: Mommy! I'm not five anymore!

Too Young

Allison walked by, and as she did I tucked some more hair from her cheek into her barrette.

A: I give up!
Me: On what?
A: My hair. I give up on my hair!

We're On the Road to God-Knows-Where

Eight hours into the 12-hour car ride to FL, just after a pit stop, with Bryant driving...

David: Mommy, are we on the interstate?
Me: Yes, we are.
David: Are we on the wrong interstate or the right interstate?
Me: We're on the right interstate.
David: Thanks, Mom. 'Cause I don't like wrong interstates.

Tornado Damage

While we were at Centennial Olympic Park for the Half Marathon, we could still see a lot of the buildings damaged by the recent tornado.

The Half Marathon

We were proud of Daddy and Mr. McGee running 13.1 miles in the Half Marathon! Leslie and their boys, Connor and Matthew, and all of us, went out to watch the daddies run. We didn't see them and the kids were cold, so we moved on to the finish line area. David is too cool for the group photographNear the finish line

Here comes Daddy!
